The Most Important Day of His Life

It’s been almost 2 weeks since I dropped my son off to his very first day at school.

He was very excited. I was certainly proud and very excited too. I felt such a strong sense of accomplishment for giving my son the right tools to start his kid life at school. Tools that included a strong value I share with him: Learning.

Learning has always been a major component of my life. Because I am so curious, I always want to discover new things, read and learn about topics I know nothing about. That’s a value my wife and I transmitted to our son. I now love seeing him excited about meeting new friends, learning how to write and read, fulfilling his curiosity through new explorations.

Learning is about being open, not being afraid of the unknown, growing. It is a pity then that so many of us put learning aside as soon as we leave school and start our professional lives. Often, it will hit us at midlife and we will start wondering “What do I want in life?” “How will I continue to grow?” “Where can I find new experiences?”

If you feel learning and growing is long overdue for you, and you can benefit from understanding what is it that you want in life, it is never too late. A coach can actually help you, by creating the conditions for you to ponder about what you want to achieve and how you will continue to learn and grow. Want to give it a try?
