Speaking of Christmas, what is your most memorable Christmas memory?

For me, definitely as a kid, in the 70’s, watching the daily episode of The Little House on the Prairie on TV with my sisters and mum. Just watching TV was an event in itself in 1976: France only had 2 channels, programs started at noon and kids programs were virtually non-existent, except during the Christmas school holiday.

That made watching the show a unique moment. A time where (almost) the entire family was together. A moment of magic and wonder, turning a button on a screen and watching a TV program for just 1 hour, and then returning to our plays and adventures outside with friends. Definitely a time where my imagination and dreams were at a high level. I sometimes miss these unique moments, especially in the current world where accessing thousands of TV channels is the norm. Where is the magic now?
