Women Leadership

Today, I want to celebrate women leadership.

In my career, I was fortunate enough to have about 50% of my managers being women leaders, including in the French Army.

What I learned through their expression of leadership helped me grow as a leader myself. In particular, there are 2 traits that all my women managers share and that I am trying to use as part of my own leadership. One is strong empathy for the people in the organization. Another one is giving honest feedback, be it good or bad.

These 2 skills are hard to master and women leaders seem to have a (much) greater ability than men to use these. This is why I always value the diversity brought by strong women leadership in the organizations I work in.

And for you, how is women leadership enabling your organization to be more humane or efficient? How is diversity enhanced by women leadership in your teams? Tell me in the comments.
